My wife and I just got off the phone with our daughter who lives in the same area as Sarah Palin. Our daughter was heavily involved in the communities of Palmer and Wasilla when she was a branch manager of a locally owned bank in and around Anchorage and was involved in many small meetings with Sarah Palin, even though their individual contact was only casual. Both are super high achievers in the Anchorage area.
I bring this up as an anecdotal story because my daughter is blonde, beautiful and a dynamic high achiever like Sarah Palin. But she is also a hard-core liberal, atheist, vegetarian tree-hugger (please pray for her salvation, as I do), which gives her the credibility to speak against Palin...which she does not!
What she has said about Palin is that she is direct, blunt and on target with what has to be done! My daughter thinks extremely highly of her for her motivation, drive, ethics, vision and direction.
My daughter's only misgivings about her (because she is a flaming vegetarian herself) is that Sarah Palin hunts and loves moose stew!
Trust me this is a crowning recommendation from another super achiever!
Meatatarian > Vegetarian.
I’ve just sent a prayer for your beloved daughter. It will be due to God’s mercy and grace when we all meet together in Heaven to praise Him. : )
Two shows a night, through Labor Day!!
Tip your waitress!
;-)
I posted when Obama was spending time here in Indiana that you could look at his form when shooting and tell he hardly ever played the game.
LOL! You certainly have a point! LOL!
I cannot disagree. :)
I have another personal story about Gov. Palin. She is hot.
Alaska is a wonderful place with a great deal of the American Pioneer spirit left in it. There are pockets of liberalism in certain parts like Homer, Los Anchorage and of course Juneau (The alaskans were smart and they put their politicians on an island a long long way away from most of the people. Can’t get there by car.)
I decided to see the Kenai for a week, so i picked Homer out on the map and headed out. I ended up suffering through a weeklong liberal film festival in Homer showing Michael Moore’s tripe and some other ridiculous films. I was amazed at how many stinky hippies from the lower 48 had infected beautiful Alaska.
They look at Alaska as “Mother Nature’s Work”. While it is God’s work, any true Alaskan will tell you that Alaska is a very rough place and a right-down mean SOB in the winter. Dumb hippies end up dead every year marching off into the bush to “be with mother nature”.
Palin is true Alaskan. I can tell she is straight up Alaskan country girl. Down-home values, hard work, and the ability to stand toe-to-toe with the boys. (She probably doesn’t have a choice in AK, the ratio is heavy men to women for obvious reasons).
She is the True American.
All hope is not lost for your daughter. She can recognize goodness.
Spend your energies fighting your daughter’s atheist belief and not her politics. The rest will fall in place.
p.s. Wasilla-Palmer area is just south of the most beautiful part of AK in my opinion.
She now lives in Eagle River, which is beautiful. Thank you for your kind thoughts...my wife and I pray for her, but we also understand leverage. She and her husband have our first grandchild and we have the family’s largest check book. As you can imagine, it is interesting when she complains about the “extreme religious far right” and I remind her that she is talking about me her father...if you were her, would your mouth pucker up tight...YEAH! You can hate my ideals, but you do not want to live without my money...so much for family love!
I bet moose stew is great on a chilly winter evening... too bad we don’t get many of those here in the Lone Star State... moose and chilly ;-)
May God love you as I do...thank you...sorry, my screen is a little fuzzy with emotion...
(And another reason to support Palin: a moose bit a Freeper's sister once...)
