Some dems hope for catastrophic Hurricane Gustav
Not WRIGHT for America ^ | 8/28/08 | Not WRIGHT for America

It was disgusting watching the giddiness of some of MSNBC's Democrat National Convention commentator panel at the possibility that Hurricane Gustav will slam New Orleans in catastrophic fashion, kill a lot of people, destroy a lot of property, and remind voters about the Bush administration's response to Hurricane Katrina.

As you can see above, the latest National Weather Service track shows a direct hit on New Orleans, late Monday or early Tuesday, and Louisiana has declared an emergency in anticipation of landfall.

Rachel Maddow was the worst--she could hardly contain her glea at the approach of the already deadly Gustav. I've never even heard of Maddow, but it turns out she has a radio show on the far left Air America. No wonder I've never heard of her!

Republicans may want to get ahead of this by denouncing the way some on the left are already politicizing this and exploiting would-be hurricane victims for political gain. Of course, bringing it up may only serve to highlight Katrina, and Gustav (we pray) may weaken and not cause much damage. But the attempts to score political points on the backs of hurricane victims are already beginning in earnest.

Republicans might also hit embarassing New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin for hanging out at the Demcorat convention rather than being at home helping his city prepare. Nagin may have already compromised Democrat attacks on this issue by staying as long as he has at the convention--his presence at the convention would be a natural rejoinder to attacks on Republicans over the hurricane. But in reality, given Nagin's track record, it is probably better that he is 1,400 miles away in Denver. It's harder to screw things up from a distance.

Regardless, its disgusting the way MSNBC continues to provide a forum for rabid leftists like Rachel Maddow, placing them in front of a camera and pretending like they're legitimate journalists.

But I admit, I've become a fan of MSNBC's--they provide great fodder for blogging.

Nothing, and I truly mean nothing, is beneath them. To exploit potential victims of a natural disaster for political gain is disgusting beyond all belief. “Chocolate City” Nagin needs to step away from the bar and buffet tables and haul his arse back down to the “Big Easy” and earn his pay. (Just make sure you have gas in the buses this time Ray.)

Nagin went home yesterday afternoon. And he talked up a good game of preparation.

You can’t beat him up on that this time. If the execution of his plan fails all bets are off. Even a dim dem learns from pissing on an electric fence.

I don’t believe Nagin was mentioned in my link that I posted. Can you copy and paste exactly where I beat up on him?

Watch to the weatherman on TV and you know that tribe is salivating at the prospect of a destroyed American city and those who have some connection to a faith are praying for it. Then they can star.

Nagin’s got four more days to get his chocolates out of NO if the hurricane heads that way. If he can’t handle it this time, at least hire blanco as his personal hurricane consultant to get the job done. Most of us in the Gulf take this in stride and are ready for the worst (Tampa).

Again, my link is not about Nagin. It is about the scam of the HurricaneHousing.org project that was run by MoveOn.org.

And who is MoveOn.org? Look at the relationship:

“its disgusting the way MSNBC continues to provide a forum for rabid leftists like Rachel Maddow”

Rabid leftists are MSNBC’s main audience. And that’s who they pitch their programming towards. It’s chief star is Olbermann.

The New Orleans disaster was a direct result of the failure of the State and City governments to do anything in advance of the storm. We’ve had accurate hurricane forecasting for decades. We’ve had countless hurricanes hit the U.S., without anything remotely like the loss of life that occurred in New Orleans. As usual, the liberal critics of Bush are full of excrement.

Word on the street down here in the New Orleans area is that Orleans parish dredged along their side of the 17th St. Canal, the one that broke near the lake. Jefferson parish did not dredge and, therefore, did not weaken their levee.
The other breaks were just from poor upkeep and perhaps poor engineering.
I just hope that the improvements hold should this Sweedish witch with a capital B hit us!

Why isn’t Obama not down at the coast, calming the violent sea?
