NBC News' Andrea Mitchell said today on Meet the Press that some in the Obama Campaign are saying privately that John McCain may not have been in a "cone of silence" last night at the Rick Warren "Civil Forum on the Presidency" - meaning they are suggesting McCain cheated at the event by hearing the questions Obama was receiving and had time to prepare his answers! Apparently, so bad was Obama's performance compared to McCain's, that Obama's campaign has already resorted to claiming McCain must have cheated to have done so well. The discussion in which Andrea Mitchell makes this statement begins at the 33:08 mark of the video. . . (see video). . .Methinks John McCain really rattled the opposition with his performance last night!

If Obama can’t handle a townhall debate, then he can’t handle the job of being President.

Liberals are jealous that their candidate just, well, sucks.

It’d be nice for those of us without good connections to be able to get to the point in the video where Mitchell says this. I tried following the directions (to get to 30.08) and no luck.

Next they will want some cheese with their whine.
They are just not used to a candidate who can speak coherantly, straight forwardly, directly, and off the cuff without notes or a prompter.
They do not understand a candidate who can make a point in fifteen words, without thirty uh's, ers, or other fumbling in trying to get his mind in gear.

Mitchell is the Mother of all Moonbats. She needs to go home and “spend more time with the family.”

Even more telling is that these drive-by media lapdogs can drone on about Obama for more than a half-hour.

So is the Obama camp claiming that either:
1. Obama has won the Democrat nomination without revealing his actual position on any issue.
or:
2. Obama's previously stated positions cannot be used as a clue to his current positions.
And that therefore anyone who anticipates Obama's response to a question must be cheating?

GAWD - anything with Andrea Mitchell’s name attached to it is B.S. This woman just loves to lob bombs and run away holding her ears. Gross!

I don’t believe anything Obama camp says but one thing is certain.... all’s fair in war and politics.

Obama wasn't bad; McCain was cheating. I'm just trying to think of some other excuses, let's see: 1) Obama was in front of a bunch of religious fanatics who could not understand his subtle nuances, so he had to speak in a way he was not used to, and that made him appear ignorant. 2) He still had water in his ear from surfing out in Hawaii, so he really didn't understand the questions. 3) Why does he need Evangelicals anyway? 4) How dare anyone pose those questions to the Annointed One? 5) Having someone like Rick Warren ask questions isn't fair to Obama in the first place. 6) Who really cares about abortion and gay-marriage anymore?
