If Pickens scheme is so great, why doesnt he just go ahead and do it? Why does he need commercials? That's what I was wondering. If he's so damned sure he can replace oil this way why doesn't he start by building wind mills and selling what he produces to electricity generators? They'd probably appreciate the extra capacity. Why does he need to run a million commercials all saying we can't drill our way out of this crisis?

Oh, Pickens can do it alright. We just need to provide a few billions of our tax dollars and he'll do it just as well as those ethanol folks did.
But that was pointed out in another post on this thread.
