I'm going to get clobbered for saying this (and I'm not defending islam), but G-d is "totalitarian." The problem with human totalitarianism is that it trespasses on what should be a Divine monopoly.

If you read the Hebrew Bible you will see that Judaism is not merely a religion but a 100% life system with legal and military components.

The separation of "religion" from the rest of life is a profound error that we are paying for 2000 years after it was first suggested ("render unto Caesar").

Islam's problem is simply that it's the wrong religion.

Which Jews are practicing this today?
In contrast we have hundreds of millions of Muslims who love Jihad and even more who like what they do. Plus the passive Muslims are pumping out Muslims babies as fast as the militants ones

Demographic warfare is being waged against the Christian natives of Europe. This is as powerful as outright warfare

I’m glad someone finally pointed that out.
And why is there an ad for muslim dating on the link you provided, Beckwith?

Although that statement is 100% true, the implication is absurd, in the state of the world today.

Most major religions have the potential to be totalitarian, but it all hinges on the interpretation of men of varying degrees of power and mental health; therein lies the potential for conversion into "something else."

We can all rest assured that if the Catholics, or Quakers or Calvinists suddenly decide to murder and destroy others worldwide, every day, they would be vilified, opposed and exterminated as surely as the muslims currently are, justifiably so.

Fortunately, the spread of any bad culture, religion-based or otherwise, cannot develop as it did in the 7th to 10th centuries, where local genocide happened mostly unseen and unknown by the world at large, and slowly ate its way into the civilized world.

Today, with instant world-wide communications and travel, that just can't happen.
Today, too many truly free societies exist, large enough, powerful enough, and fierce enough to protect their hard-earned freedoms to prevent any repetition of ancient history.

Piss off enough of the civilized world long enough, and the extermination of islam will fierce, swift, and merciless; and I hope permanent.

Good riddance!

A more profound error is your understanding of that scripture. Jesus was not saying to separate our religious lives from the rest of our activities. He was simply saying that Christians are not exempt from taxes.

After Christ's death and resurrection, the earliest Christians were known as belonging to "The Way", meaning their entire way of life was guided and encompassed by Christ's teachings and example. Being a Christian encompasses your entire being, even though we still war with the sinful flesh and its desires.
