At least one reviewer has noticed the symbolism that compares Batman to President Bush in the new Batman movie, "The Dark Knight". As one who has greatly admired the understanding and foresight that President Bush has shown in comprehending the threat to free societies everywhere presented by Islamofascism and its record of murderous terrorism, and also admired the courage he has shown in the face of unbelievable threats, obstruction and vitriolics from the left-wing cowards and ostriches who can't and won't understand this threat, I am greatly encouraged that President Bush's great character and steadfastness is being recognized in a major movie.

Cool. I saw another review that compared Cheney to Batman.
Too bad the story of Batman has been around for far too long for him to have been President Bush at the time. You can see any symbolism you want to in anything if you stare hard enough and long enough.
Oh come on. This is about the just-released movie. It's similar to when George Lucas inserted "you're either with us or against us" into the last Star Wars movie. So what if Star wars was around long before Bush came to office? This movie wasn't.
You mean like the courage he showed in ignoring Iranian attacks on our troops, abandoning the war on Islamism and referring to Islam as a religion of peace, and looking romantically into Putin’s eyes and divining his pure soul?
This is absurd. I guess you would have preferred Kerry. You have to choose your battles and not bite off more than you can chew.
When did I say I would have preferred Kerry? I’m merely pointing out the absurdity of calling Bush “courageous”.
That was in the Wall Street Journal?!?
Thank you so much for sharing that article. It was one of the most powerful and succinct articles I’ve read in a while.
The writer rightly pointed out George Bush’s inability to articulate the things he stands for, while standing strong for the things no one else will. If I remember right, Moses was “slow to speak” yet God used him to free His chosen people.
I may not agree with all that President Bush has done, but I believe he stands for most things right and that he is sincere in all that he stands for.
Thanks again.

Ahh, satire.

Anyone who thinks that mainstream Hollywood would do a movie that pays homage to Bush, either intentionally or unintentionally, is deluding themselves.
"The Dark Knight" is making a fortune depicting the values and necessities that the Bush administration cannot seem to articulate for beans.
