Perhaps it isn’t a gaffe. You cannot be president of the 50 states for more than two four year terms (barring succession the death or resignation of the previous president). Maybe in the 57 states he talked about you can be president for ten years.

Being a socialist, Obama is probably thinking about Lenin, who established the dictatorship of the proletariat in the Soviet Union.

"objective of this trip was to have substantive discussions with people like President Karzai or Prime Minister Maliki or President Sarkozy or others who I expect to be dealing with over the next eight to 10 years. "Sounds to me like he's referring to THEIR longevity, as if he's gonna be in office indefinitely...

Like the impeached ex-President, he is already planning how much money he will make lobbying and giving speeches after he is out of office.

Hmmmm, “potatoe” - a mocking and outrage over the stupidity...”57 states” and president for “8 to 10 years”...the sounds of silence.

I don’t know who is stupider, him or the researcher on his campaign. Yes, someone can be President for 10 years. If they are the Vice President and the President dies, the VP can be president for two years and then elected to office twice. 10 years max.
But unless Obama plans on being his own VP, and then dying and resurrecting, he will not be President for anywhere near 10 years.
To: Bill Dupray
Not to mention that those he mentions may not be in office 8-10 years from now.

when he said he would be finishing his “second” (rather than “last”) term in 2016, I saw this coming . The grandiosity, the fantasies, aren’t far from the surface with this guy.

Not only did Barry Dunham Soetoro Obama not listen in his History Class, he didn't pay attention in 9th Grade Civics, either.
The "presumptive" Democrat Nominee's preposterous presumption assuming that once he's POTUS he can set up his 12th Caliphate.
