After he serves two terms, assuming the 22nd amendment isn’t repealed in the meantime, he can be chosen as Speaker of the House. On Jan. 21, 2017, the new President and Vice President resign, and the Speaker becomes Acting President. The House can elect anyone it chooses as Speaker (not restricted to current memebers of the House).
