The real question is, why doesn’t Obama authorize some responsible journalists to get his BC directly from the Hawaii government, that way we would know for sure, it’s the real deal.
Two possibilities:
1. There is something in Obama's birth certificate that he does not want released, e.g., his birth religion was Muslim, his birth name was Barry, his parents were not married, etc.
Note, a "birth certificate" contains much more information than a "certificate of live birth." Obama has not released either. There was a jpg image of a "certificate of live birth" posted on Kos, but it is widely believed to be photoshopped.
2. Obama wants to keep the issue alive to distract from more serious issues. If this is the case, as soon as some other, provable scandal starts to hit the MSM, Obama will suddenly release a real copy of his certificate of live birth and use it as a straw-man to discredit whatever else is in the news.
"Oh for goodness sake, here is my certificate of live birth. All of these ridiculous claims being made against me are a right wing attempt to take attention away from hope and change. By the way, did I mention that I'm black?"

Perhaps there is no existing document that the Hawaiian government can produce?

It seems airlines would not allow infants to travel on long distance flights. Poo filled diapers doing somersaults during turbulent conditions, not to mention squalling baby cries, were a factor in those days.
So, where was the Senator actually born? My bet is a home for unwed mothers in perhaps British Columbia, Canada.
And that is what I believe he is hiding. His maternal grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, is kept incommunicado ( forced or voluntary: I wonder!). Too bad, as she could answer these questions.
