Who the heck is congress to judge what "gouging" is?!

Given the public tax burden, it would seem to me they are experts.

they are the experts

they have been gouging us for years,

after all they are the ones that make more from cigarette taxes and gas taxes than the oil companies and tobacco companies make from cigarettes and gas

the average national cigarette tax is over $2.00 per pack while the tobacco companies make about $0.20 per pack and over the last 25 years the oil companies have paid more than 3 times what they have made in "profits'

the government is the one making the "windfall" profits all complaining about how bad the oil and tobacco companies are, talk about biting the hand that feeds you
