Obama's Mile High Fantasy Flight
ARRA News Service ^ | July 9 | Bill Smith

Dr. Bill Smith, ARRA Editor: My Opinion! Barack Obama's move to Mile High is an exercise in stagecraft and a smoke and mirror job for the American people.

*First, it is an affront to the Hillary Clinton delegates who would have comprised half the room if Obama were to appear at the Pepsi Center.

*It is a calculated move to force networks into the very real choice of only covering his speech on the final day - denying the American people a true look at what the Democrat's platform and policies are all about, and denying the American people a true look into the divided nature of the convention.

They need to move the acceptance speech to Mile-High just to fit in the Michigan and Florida delegations who can't get in the real convention :)

He does get it right. Obama's entire campaign is all about smoke and mirrors, style over substance, and idol creation.

His actual positions and ideology, not to mention his speaking ability off the cuff, could not stand the light of day.

Maybe the Republicans need to move McCain's acceptance speech into the Hubert Humphrey Dome. By McCain's standards, Humphrey was a great conservative! A great message to send out to the crossover voters.

I’m curious as to what the normal attendance at the Dem convention usually is, compared to what the Pepsi Center can hold?

Just because I'm voting for the guy doesn't mean I can't point out a few of his "slight" weaknesses as constructive criticism....

I could reach over to the dark side of the ballot and vote for Obama, getting the same results as voting for Duncan and not have to write-in anything.

I’m especially worried about Obama’s willingness to massively increase the carbon footprint of his acceptance speech. ;>)
