He’s hoping Obama will speed up the spread of Islam in the U.S.

Mottaki characterized the U.S. severing of diplomatic relations in 1979 as an over reaction to an attempt by exuberant youths to experiment with unconventional methods of communication between our two peoples. None of these so-called hostages were harmed. All were released unconditionally in 1981. Its time we called a truce. One of these "exuberant youth" is now Iran's president, who calls for the death of Israel and is working to make Iran nuclear.
What is frightening is that Obama is naive enough to buy this line of garbage.

Yesterday, they launched a bunch of test missiles and said if attacked, they would wipe Israel and the US off the map.
But today, they are asking us to open up a new embassy.
This country is more bi-polar than my ex-gf who was one minute crying about how much she loved me, and then the next hurling objects at me in total meltdown mode.

Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki says his government is hoping that a President Obama will reestablish a U.S. diplomatic presence in his country.
Er, when did this happen? When did Obama get voted in as US President?
It seems that the whole world is predisposed to the fact that Obama will be the next US President! Seems conspirical!

I'm a great fan of John's posts. Here's a picture of him with me after the first AZConservative post I read.

They can’t wait for Jimmuh Carter II to open an embassy there so they can have fun with it again.

Okay, John, true satire needs to be (a) plausible and yet (b) still fictional. I think their minds, such as they are, actually do work that way.

The absence of a U.S. Embassy reduces the ability of our government to effectively communicate with the U.S. government, Mottaki asserted. Kinda cuts down on the number of hostages you can take as well.
