There is some merit in your theory, SE Mom.
I am not so certain how much attention Mr. Obama actually pays to his “fight-the-smears” website. I can imagine him tossing whoever posted it there under the bus with the rest of them, being “surprised” at all the chatter, etc...
He then comes across “pure as the driven snow”, and makes the “speculators/smearers/gossipy right wing racist look like complete and total fools.
I think, at this point, that it might be wise to be patient and wait a while.
Perhaps the MSM is working behind the scenes to track stuff down, hesitant because they do not want to look like they are taking “sting” bait?
We shouldn’t lose any sleep over it at this point. Time will tell, I think.
If I believed no reporters were on this already, I’d have you a Hawaiian or Kenyan record soon enough, if they exist...it’s not that difficult to obtain legally, despite the laws. People just have to read the restrictions carefully to see how.
