I always wondered why I saw what looked like scrapings down the middle of the Seal in photo #1 after I performed edge detection on it. Now I know -- those creeps at Factcheck were trying to hide the fact that the Caduseus was screwed up:

In your photo imaging program, if you inverted the colors...what shows up? Any other flaws that would show up in that environment that the normal color photo doesn’t show?

It almost looks as if the Caduseus on the fake one was also smaller than the original..in addition to not being aligned correctly.
