Are you basing your comment on the video from Susan Blake?
"She left Honolulu just as soon she had clearance from her doctor to travel with her new baby. He was just 3 weeks old. She had sent a postcard that she would be in town, and was staying with a friend of her mother's.
She drove out to my house in her mother?s friend's car, and we spent the entire day together. She was very excited about her new life, and her husband. She was nuts about him, crazy in love.
I was under the impression that he had left Honolulu before Barack's birth, that he had gone to Harvard already for his studies, and that Ann was on her way to join him there. She planned on raising her son, getting a job, and attending school, she told me. Her husband would head back to Kenya after graduating from Harvard to join the newly formed government, and she would take her place beside him. It was all very exciting, a dramatic change in her life in the one year since she had graduated from high school. (38)

It would be of interest now to know where that postcard came from, as for 'staying with a friend of her mother's', I cannot see anywhere in the article that tells us for how long. I cannot see much new here, please correct me if I am wrong or if I have missed something.
There is quite a bit of information which we didn’t know before aside from Ann staying with a friend of her mom.
1- Her friends believed that a) her father would have made sure of a marriage, and b)Stanley Ann definitely woud not have married Barack Obama Sr. had she known of his 1957 tribal marriage to Kezia and his two young children;
2- Her parents initial reaction to Ann’s marriage and pregnancy was anger but we didn’t know Madelyn in particular foresaw the difficulties of the chasm of different cultures
3- Susan Blake was under the impression that Sr may not even have been on the island of Hawaii at the time of Jr’s birth, could he have been in Kenya?
4- The author of the piece I linked mentions the small house Sr rented near the University(the one on St Louis Heights) speculating Sr and Ann lived there together which brings into question once again the address given on the birth announcement which was way out in the boonies (I’ll stick with my story that grandma found a safe address from her work in the escrow dept and used it for the registration of birth)
5- We didn’t know that Ann’s visit lasted so long in the Mercer Island area but according to the link the first visit with Susan Blake was about the third week of August(where was Ann prior to then that she didn’t know how to change diapers?) and then two weeks later Maxine Box had about a one hour visit with Ann and baby Barack
6- we now know Ann enrolled in UW extension courses in August/61 and managed to successfully complete 4 extension courses for 20 credits(babies sleep longer at that age allowing her to spend more time studying) prior to attending classes in March/62 to June/62 where she only earned 10 credits (I don’t think that she would have been eligible for in state tuition if she was living in Hawaii and taking the courses, but someone else may know)
7- We know from former high school classmates that she was still in Seattle after the world’s fair had ended so she was in Seattle in Sept/62.
8- Her best friend from high school, Maxine Box, was attending UW the same time Ann was but was unaware of that fact. The only reason I can think of was the shame of her situation after gushing over Sr and ending up with him playing her for a fool.
So a plausible scenario could be young starry eyed Ann head over heels in love goes to Kenya with Sr and discovers he has a wife and two children. Planning to come back to Hawaii she is denied by the airlines and ends up giving birth in Kenya. Finally catching a flight back to the U.S. she gets her mom’s friend to pick her up in Vancouver, B.C. and intent on avoiding the cad Barack Sr she stays in Washington,finds a place to live and taking her courses, finally returning to Hawaii after she is damned sure Sr is well and truly gone. Her visits with Susan Blake and Maxine Box allows her to spin a story about her relationship with Sr as a saving face moment.
