The law was changed in the 1970s to allow for citizenship to a child born outside the US, if ONE parent was a US citizen and the child was registered at the US Embassy. Prior to that, if you were an American citizen, and the other parent was a foreigner, if the child was born outside the US, the child was NOT a citizen, but had to go through the Naturalization process. I have direct knowledge of this process.

The real issue at question is WAS OBAMA BORN IN HAWAII AS HE CLAIMS OR WAS HE BORN OUTSIDE THE US AND ITS TERRITORIES.
