I agree, the dems wouldn’t run him if they couldn’t prove he’s a U.S. citizen. These constant posts make us look foolish.

If I was running his campaign, I would hold off proving his citizenship as long as possible to make the right look as kooky as possible.

What kind of Dem would say to someone who is a US Senator show me your records? I assume they would feel racist or xenophobic if they did, and probably wouldn’t even consider it.

They are Dems. Their motto is “How can we fool them today”.

While we are focused on whether Obama or McCain is eligible to hold the office of president, and we’re fixed on getting one of them off the ticket, we’re overlooking the real goal.

The goal isn’t to get either McCain or Obama into the White House, the goal is to wait until right before the elections and demonstrate that NEITHER candidate is qualified.

Why? Besides the chaos it would cause in the election, the real intended damage is to ruin the credibility of BOTH major parties.

Neither party is competent enough to select a qualified candidate, even when the very best and the very brightest members devote their full attention to the job, they are sooooo incompetent that they can’t find a single qualified candidate between them.

Therefore neither the democrats nor the republicans belong in power, therefore the American public will be persuaded to throw all the bums out.

It’s no accident that congress has a 12% approval rating, the lowest rating of any government entity since ratings started.

The goal is to destroy the entire American political system.

HA!

You have forgotten the lessons of history. The dems have a tradition of poorly vetting candidates.

You probably think the dems wouldn't run someone for office was certifiably crazy enough to need electroshock either, don't you?

Remember George McGovern's running mate, Thomas Eagleton, in the 1972 presidential campaign? After it was revealed that Eagleton had undergone electroshock therapy. McGovern said, "I'm behind him 1,000%!" (a few days before dumping him).

I think the Repubs put out the question about McCain’s citizenship so they could the one step further with Obama the more I read this.Maybe he really believed he was born in the US.I would if that’s what my Mom told me/Why was it so important to her to make sure that he was shown to be born here?Maybe just to get the help the US provides. It is all a sad tale.Losing your Mom and Dad not really there while you got older.A lot of people can see why he says Hope and Change but he must be truthful or people will turn against him.

I don't know what to make of this issue. But as to the point that you make above, I'm not sure that I agree. The Natural-Born Citizen requirment has so far been such a basic requirement that few people (till now) have given it a second thought. Does anybody at the DNC or RNC actually check these things? I kinda doubt it. Maybe they should start.

There were lots of posts like yours back in ‘04 saying we were going to look really stupid because we dared question John “Paul Jones” Kerry’s military service.
