TYPO POLICE:
Which showed how great Lincoln's power was considering that Lincoln was dead when the 14th Amendment was ratified. ;-)
You meant, of course, habeas corpus.
I’m just summarizing what Gatún and David have taught me.
As a Marine Corps brat, I learned that Brats born overseas were not eligible to be President. At least that’s what they taught us in the schools on the base...
Great Graphic,...thanks...I haven’t seen that before.
By not wanting to even acknowledge such a poor close relative by throwing a few, easily spared dollars his way?
Obama’s behavior toward his brother makes him a glob of dirty tobacco spittle at the bottom of a spittoon.
It started out as We The People.
Now it’s you people are getting too uppity.
We’ve fallen a long way since we were willing to revolt over a few pence tax on tea, haven’t we?
I am aware of no way for the President to suspend the elections.
For one thing, elections, even presidential elections, are run on a state-by-state basis, not federal.
More to the point, however: the United States is not in a state of war, having declared war on no one.
Why do you ask?
Heck, we all ought to send him $20.00. Obama also made a promise to help one of his relative’s villages in Africa, but they haven't heard from him since he made the promise.
Figures.
[Great Graphic,...thanks...I havent seen that before.]
I hadn’t seen that version of it before either. Thanks Ernest. I still don’t know WHO lives to the RIGHT of him.
Nearly everyone...
Exactly!
[Nearly everyone...]
Lol, smarty!!
Hope your dad’s ok now!
Such a thing was unheard of centuries ago. Traveling was considered a dangerous endeavor -- because of vile habits in men who were happy to take out a traveler a day or two out from home. Even in the founder's generation men carried canes and swords regularly -- because they were regularly needed.
General literacy and high levels of hygiene are noveleties, historically speaking.
But regarding the law -- the general wisdom of it, there is a general apathy. Like a whipped dogs we cower whimpering waiting for some alpha dog to tell us when to bark.
>>”AND - will someone please confirm that if we are in a state of war at the time of elections, the elections can be postponed or suspended by Presidential edict?”<<

So far so good. They’re trying medications first, will install pacemaker if needed.
Thanks.
Glad to hear that Nully!
thanks, staying tuned!
Indeed! Don’t get me wrong, I’m delighted to live in these times, and in this country!
This is the first time since our ancestors were forced out of the trees and onto grasslands that even the poor can afford to be fat.
The first time that a whole continent (except for Québec-silly french) could have cities without walls.
Modern America is a wondrous place, the likes of which will be fondly remembered for many millennia.
Still, easy times do not make for a tough people, do they?
We are about to have a world war.

What happens if the Russians and/or Chinese decide to use their warships to escort commercial ships into/out of islamic iranian ports to break the blockade? Do we fire on them? If we sink some, or they sink some of ours, then what?
There is a Persian saying “the sleep of a rabbit”, meaning snoozing while danger is about to strike from a hawk or an eagle or other predator. In other words not being aware(smile)
Time for all of us to wake up.
cheers
LOL! We’ve got his NUMBER now and still don’t know who he is.
Look on the bright side, if we go to war, the elections will get postphone.
