I got my first hula hoop within a week of it coming out. The hula hoop factory was in North Jersey and they "flew" off the shelves at the local candy store.

Our family vactioned at Atlantic City. That summer we were treated to Rock N Roll bands and bikini clad beauties, (like your picture) and they danced and hula hooped on the Boardwalk!
