Your theory that the embossed stamp may have been on the back of the “certificate” doesn’t work...look at Patricia Decosta’s cert. The embossed stamp is on the back and clearly shows...albeit, backwards.
Yeah....so you and I both keep saying......over and over again..... ;)
What do we know......((shrugs shoulders))
I searched the following on Ancestry.com :
BArack or Barry Obama or Dunham Honlulu Hawaii 1961 and came up with nothing.
I also searched Ann Dunham for marital records and came up with nothing.
In other words, there was no public record of any birth or any marriage.

Something is definitely going on here.
Thanks for the ping. interesting read that’s for sure.
ARe you sure that Obama is a natural born citizen? This was taken from Wikipedia. Depending on the law in 1961, Obama may not be eligible for the presidency if he were born overseas to an 18 year old mother.
Through birth abroad to one United States citizen
For persons born on or after November 14, 1986, a person is a U.S. citizen if all of the following are true:
One of the person’s parents was a U.S. citizen when the person in question was born;
The citizen parent lived at least 5 years in the United States before his or her child’s birth; and
At least 2 of these 5 years in the United States were after the citizen parent’s 14th birthday.
A person’s record of birth abroad, if registered with a U.S. consulate or embassy, is proof of his or her citizenship. Such a person may also apply for a passport or a Certificate of Citizenship to have a record of his or her citizenship. Such documentation is often useful to prove citizenship in lieu of the availability of an American birth certificate.
Different rules apply for persons born abroad to one U.S. citizen before November 14, 1986. United States law on this subject changed multiple times throughout the twentieth century, and the law as it existed at the time of the individual’s birth controls.
I think you may be rigth regarding the citizenship thing. I don’t think Obama would be eligible if he were born overseas.

The issue isn't about it being an original document, thee issue is about it being a requested re-issue on a state manufactured form, namely "OHSM 1.1 (Rev11/01) Laser".
His copy doesn't look like others issued on the supposedly identical form, but all the others look alike.
THAT's the issue.
