In related news, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) took the announcement of Senator Kennedys illness as an opportunity to make a pitch for socialized medicine. One of Senator Kennedys fondest wishes was that the government would take over the nations healthcare system, she said. He has done so much for this country. The least we can do in return is to enact universal healthcare as a memorial to this great man. "Oh, and World Peace."<BIG SMILE>

The same thing happened with Civil Rights after JFK was killed. Dems are good at pushing the sympathy vote.

“Succession” and “Inherit”
He’s been in that seat for so long we’re using terms related to hereditary monarchies to describe the situation.

The commoners of Massachusetts”...........
I have to ask. Is the term “commoners” used because the state is a Commonwealth?
I hope so, else that would be the height of arrogance otherwise.

You are aware, of course, that this is a satirical article. The events in this article have not actually taken place, but are so like something libs would do, many people on this forum think it’s real. Congrats again Mr. Semmens.

The tumor should inherit his seat. (An upgrade for Congress.)

The least we can do in return is to enact universal healthcare as a memorial to this great man. Most politicians are very stupid people. But this has to be the dumbest thing that I've ever heard one of them say. America should become a Socialist state just because Teddy wants to see it before he becomes deceased? I wonder what Pelosi is smoking.
