As a conservative I am fascinated by the ongoing debate in the Democratic Party. The far left, opportunist faction of the party is using this election as an attempt to hijack the party. A party that has tried for years to accuse Republicans of disenfranchisement has shown Americans just how disenfrachising there primary process is (well beyond just Michigan and Florida). Be sure to pass this article any dem acquaintances you may have. If the RNC plays their hand right, they could not only hold onto the White House, but will have an enormous opportunity to go after Senate and House Seats.

I actually see a Republican implosion coming after the November 4 election is officially over. It’s truly going to be very difficult for it not to be a very “pro-Democratic Party” election with all of the anti-Republicanism that’s ongoing along with a weak GOP Presidential candidate who is really a socialist and assiduous conservative back stabber named John McCain. I truly don’t see how this country isn’t in very big trouble, starting in mid-January ‘09.

I agree with this. But I think it is going to take an Obama election to turn this country around. Whoever gets in faces a perfect storm of titanic problems---national debt & deficits, no domestic energy, SS, Medicare, illegals, and terrorism---which would be a lot for a brilliant leader like Reagan, and damn near impossible for a mediocre one like McCain or a loony like Obama.

We are looking at the equivalent of a Herbert Hoover, regardless of who gets in, and IMHO better it be the Dems who are "Hooverized" for the next 40 years.

Perhaps some are. But for very different reasons than we. None of the Dems dislike them because of sleazy, immoral and illegal actions. Nor do they care about the lies and dirty tricks.

Perceived electa-bility is one thing, the other being payback by those that have been screwed by the Clintons.

But they don't care what this pair has done to America or anyone else.

This is true, but, in contrast to the decent people who disapprove of the Clintons for reasons of ethics, morality, criminality, and depravity, the meretritious Democrats hate the Clintons because they pose a political disadvantage, and, should support for the Clintons suddenly become advantageous to the Democrats, they would just as suddenly push the Clintons into positions of authority and power.

Never underestimate the depravity, immorality, and cynical self-interest of Democrat politicians.

I don't agree. If Obama were elected to the Presidency--and especially with a House majority and a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate--the United States would never recover. It would be impossible to turn the country around after the devastation that the Democrats would wreak.

The United States has never recovered from the damage done by Franklin Roosevelt.

Sufficiently empowered, Barack Obama would complete destroy the United States.
