...Texas Supreme Court ruled Thursday that child welfare officials overstepped their authority... The high court affirmed a decision by an appellate court... "On the record before us, removal of the children was not warranted," the justices said...

OK, now the FR stalinist brigade can pi$$ and moan at how "unjust" for the chillren this ruling is.

For the record, I'm pi$$ed at the Texas CPS for their shoddy handling of this case; and for allowing people that probably should be behind bars to go free due to their ineptitude.

I honestly don’t know what to make of this ruling. It looks like someone wanted to make themselves famous off this sensational case. There are far too many prosecutors out there who are guided by the media spotlight instead of the truth. There should be severe punishment dished out to the prank caller and anyone else who distorted the facts.

You're absolutely right clee1. The lies, incompetence and cruelty of Texas CPS punished the innocent women and children while allowing the FLDS leaders, who probably really did condone at least some teen marriages, to escape.

The Attorney General of Utah handled the FLDS much more reasonably and constitutionally by only going after men who had definitely committed crimes and only going after them after getting probable cause.
