Hard core socialist? Really?
Noooo.
A disappointment to Conservatives many times? Yea.
But how many hardcore socialist have argued against spending like John McCain?
How many would support the troops the way McCain does?
How many would vote so consistently against abortion?
There are plenty of things to like about John. I'm not discounting what's wrong with him but there's plenty to like about him.
Do you realize how foolish it sounds to pretend McCain is a conservative?
McCain Feingold - socialism in the first degree.
McCain’s embracing of AlGore Warming - global socialism of the first degree.
If elected, John McCain would likely also be a strong Commander in Chief, but if the past is any indication of future performance, a McCain presidency could prove catastrophic to domestic-policy issues.
His recent pronouncements on immigration that are favorable to conservatives will only be worth a listen IF he holds fast to them and doesn’t jettison them for some elitist view point later.
He isn’t Satan - but he is a socialist. His support of the troops not withstanding. His public posturing against some excess spending is laudable - but what has been his lengthy track record in the Senate?
We have 3 senators in the running. Check out the crappy record senators have in the White House. It’s not encouraging.
However, Obama would do more damage with those arenas that are entirely under the Executive purview, such as treaties, SCOTUS appointments, etc. In my eyes, we're being asked to decide how we're going to get damaged.... via hyper-liberal legislative acts supported by McCain, or by hyper-liberal Executive acts by Obama that a vocal conservative minority in Congress cannot oppose.
Either way, it's far better than allowing Hillary to take the throne. McCain is merely stupid and self-absorbed (an angry old fart looking to make a mark, ANY mark), and Obama is a naive idealist with racist roots (a newbie with a bad education)... but Hillary is a power-mad zealot who cannot stand opposition (an evil witch hell-bent on imposing her ideas). Her rule would be worst for everyone, including those outside of the US.
