Now wait just a minute. If McCain, or any Rethuglican, had been a member of any REMOTELY analogous white-racial-consciousness congregation, for 20 years;
had had his two kids baptized by its raving 'white values' preacher;
had been married by that same preacher;
and had donated $20,000 to that church in 2006,

then we here at DU and elsewhere would NEVER have accepted any supposed "repudiation" by McCain this late.
So just why should Obama expect any lesser suspicions about his views meshing with (or at least tolerating) Wright's more than OBAMA admits? Be even-handed, people.
