Defending Rush (Part 2)
PoliticalXFile ^ | 5-7-2008 | Thomas Anderson

I made a post back before Rush named the evil, diabolical plan known as Operation Chaos. And needless to say, I had to wear flame resistant undies as most of the comments were from people that lashed out at me for defending Rush- a man they believed was doing this for money, as a Hillary presidency would propel his career for the next decade. These same people are in denial, along with the MSM, about Operation Chaos' effect on this election. Well, Barack Obama now believes Operation Chaos led to his loss in Indiana. According to his campaign's talking points for super delegates:

*Right-wing radio host Rush Limbaugh has been urging his listeners to cross over and vote in the Democratic primary in Indiana to help Clinton’s chances at becoming the nominee. *Reports from Indiana polling places confirmed that record numbers of Republicans were taking Democratic ballots to vote against Obama. And Limbaugh himself bragged about the success of his effort on his radio show today. *If I were the Clinton campaign, I don’t think I’d be celebrating too hard tonight. Winning a state on the strength of voters who want to see you defeated isn’t exactly the kind of win you want—or the message you want to send to superdelegates. *Time after time, we’ve seen that the Republicans are desperate to face Clinton in the fall because they know that Obama would be a stronger candidate. That’s what brought Limbaugh listeners out in droves today to vote for Clinton.

The Obama campaign now believes Operation Chaos was designed to get Hillary nominated because Rush and the Republican participants of OC are scared of Obama!! Let me help the Obama campaign out with understanding what Operation Chaos is all about:

Operation Chaos was designed to cause an uncivil war in the Democrat Party, with the hopes that Barack Obama would get bloodied up by his rival Hillary. Before Operation Chaos started Obama was seen as the messiah, now he is just another politician. So objectives one and two were met. Operation Chaos was also designed to deplete the war chests of both Democrat candidates, while allowing McCain to save the money he's been raising. Operation Chaos is ultimately designed to cause chaos in the Democrat party, putting pressure on super delegates to decide the winner instead of the voters. Operation Chaos was never designed to get Hillary the nomination. And most importantly, Operation Chaos was needed because McCain and the RINO's have already agreed to running a campaign void of anything negative that would be seen as an attack on Obama.

Operation Chaos has surpassed all of its set objectives. So what's next?? The nuclear option: Hillary needs to take a stand on Florida and Michigan and somehow get those delegates counted. If she employs the scorched earth policy the Democrat party will be fractured going into November. Just imagine Obama spending the next few weeks telling the country why Florida and Michigan voters shouldn't count!!! The 527 ads made from this would destroy his chances in November to win these states. The perfect scenario for Operation Chaos would be to see this race go all the way to the convention, in the hopes that the Democrats decide to go with a third candidate, leaving Obama and Clinton out in the cold. Al Gore anyone?!?

a Hillary presidency would propel his career for the next decade.

No ... a Hillary (or Obama, for that matter) presidency would end Rush's career, as a resurrected Fairness Doctrine would knock him off the air.

A lot of people diss Rush and his Operation Chaos. It seems to me the only thing that is working to any degree from the right.

Unfortunately, the Republican party has been in chaos for years and seems unable to benefit much from Rush's good work.

The way I look at Operation Chaos is this: It is the only entertainment conservatives are likely to get over the 2008 Election, knowing that we are fully screwed no matter which one of these three stooges makes it to the White House!

Well, I think that back when people were completely mesmerized with Obama, fainting at his rallies in droves and declaring him as a sort of messiah of “change” with no explanation of what he meant by this change (but we know, and Rush knew all too well) - Obama was winning everything and was on his way, unscathed, mostly unchallenged, as a shoe-in to the Oval Office. Rush was apparently appalled and determined that it wouldn’t be that easy, either for Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama - hence, Operation Chaos.

You nailed it. Unfortunately, I think that regardless of which of the 3 clowns takes office in 1/09, Rush's payment for Operation Chaos is going to be the passage of a new Fairness Doctrine putting him and other conservative talkers out of business.

I had my doubts about the direction of Operation Chaos, but after the elections last night I was obviously mistaken. If it weren’t for OC, I’m sure Clinton would have LOST Indiana and would have probably lost NC by more than she did. OC is literally keeping Hillary alive in a race she can’t possibly win. OC has been proven to be pure genius!

And the MSM is going to be forced to come to that same conclusion. Simply because it's their only hope in making a strong argument to get her to either drop out, or get the super delegates to swing into Obama's camp.

Early on I thought that Obama had a better shot but now I think Hillary has a better shot than Obama. I think McCain is sitting pretty at this point.

Personally I think it's a dangerous game to vote for the person you think is more beatable. I voted in the primary against Obama because I really dislike the man and what he stands for and what his supporters stand for. I don't think Hillary is as far left as Obama, and a good thing about Hillary is if she wins there is no way she would be re-elected. She has the most grating personality in politics.

I sometimes think Rush knows something we don’t know. I have been amazed with the threatened implementation of the Fairness Doctrine, why Rush would blatantly shove OC in the face of the very people who are planning to take away his sucess. I support OC and do think it is working, but I wonder if Rush knows that radio freedom is short lived and plans on really sticking it to them before he is forced out. Sort of go out in a blaze of glory.
