Q. So who are the superdelegates?

A. They are the elites of the elites -- the intelligentsia of the Democratic Party.

Q. White people!

A. Pretty much. While white men don't actually vote for Democrats anymore, they still run the party.

LOL!!!

Somewhere in the afterlife there is a spinning blur by the earthly name of James Farley who was FDR's 'Karl Rove'. His earthly life ended in 1976 so he saw the beginnings of the Democrats current nightmare that brought them George McGovern in 1972. However, as the saying goes, "Wait, you ain't seeing nothing yet!"

Once the 'party elders' started going 'politically correct' in making delegate selections based upon equal weightings of gender, race and other criteria, Farley probably started generating a soft breeze because that was the beginning of the end of the FDR coalition that included conservatives as well as liberals within the Democratic Party.

These speeds probably cranked up with the candidacies of Dukakis and Carter but probably actually dropped for Clinton who at least made an effort to 'triangulate' a relationship with the 'centrists' of the party. However, he is now probably generating hurricane strength etherial wind speeds as the party arcana gets dragged out into public view during this nominating process.

Texas Democrats went to the polls / caucases on March 4th and STILL have not selected 8 of their 193 delegates (word is that they will be having a midnight seance at LBJ's grave very soon). Party elders are seeking ways of denying (without denying) the existence of 2 states but cheerfully accepting delegates from multiple non-state entities.

Yep, James Farley must really be getting cranked, but oops I spoke too soon, someone just mentioned Superdelagates and in the same breath how unfair the Electoral College was. Boy, look at him go now - I'm out of here!
