Do you like paying Sky High Gas Prices? Thank A Democrat.

Of all the campaign issues that the candidates are not talking about, gas prices lead the list. On the heels of the worst housing slump since WWII our economy faces an even bigger threat; Loss of mobility. This is obvious to anyone who needs to fill up their transportation yet the elite, those who create the environmental dictates American’s must contend with couldn’t care less. They refuse to even engage the subject as they attempt to lie their way into the White House.

Where are the new refineries, nuclear power plants or even plants capable of producing synthetic fuels? Why have none been built and brought on line over the last 35 years? Stop and think for just a few seconds about who has been leading the charge prohibiting oil drilling around the Country. Who has erected the environmental gauntlet that needs to be run in order to build a refinery? The plethora of taxes, permits, allocation of space and resources to protect America’s energy needs has been effectively sabotaged and as Rev. Wright says about another issue, “the chickens have come home to roost”.

It is one thing to discuss conservation issues in terms of academic utopias but quite another when food is unable to get shipped to its destination due to prohibitive fuel costs or when the price of home necessities has dramatically inflated. Since the Democrats have championed these causes and “We the People” are now suffering because of it, one would assume they have a solution. To date, none has been offered and even the media has not dared to touch the issue. In the meantime, trucks have stopped rolling, commuters are feeling a radical pinch and life is becoming more difficult.

Since the Democrats, with the complicity with many Republicans, like John McCain, have gotten us into these problems, exactly what do they plan to do to get us out?

The Democrats have been on the wrong side of every important issue since the Civil War. To expect them to change now is futile.

Under the circumstances, gas is cheap. When it’s high enough, we’ll find the will to fight the so-called War on Terror. The dollar must fall, too, BTW.

Yep, witness this *shrug* and "I don't care" buck-passing from newly minted NYS Governor David Paterson:

Rising cost of gas drives traffic to N.J.

Assembly GOP leaders on Wednesday pushed for a suspension of state taxes on gas for the summer, which would save drivers about $4 a fillup at the current prices. Gov. Paterson balked, arguing that gas prices were a federal problem.
