WEST COAST SPOILER AMERICAN IDOL-This post will go up right after the elimination for 4/23/08 is announced.
The total will then be down to the TOP FIVE.
The post will include a review for the Tuesday 4/22/08 performances and will have been written BEFORE the elimination round that my guesses, right or wrong, will be there for all the world to see.
All with pics and video you'll find nowhere else on the Internet.

bye bye carly
down to the final five? It’s kind of like Democratic presidential candidates....
Jason should have gone.
I could die a happy man if I never heard him sing for the rest of my life.
Carly. Is that the drama queen blonde? I actually watch AI for the first time last night. I thought she and the guy in the long dreadlocks were the worst two. The first girl and the last guy were the top two. IMHO.
Carly is the Irish brunette who sang Jesus Christ Superstar last night. The first girl was also in the bottom two. The drama queen blonde, Brooke White, skated for some reason.
Carly: This girl has been the biggest disappointment to me out of the top twelve. She has a very nice powerful voice full of potential. Over the last five weeks, Tuesday night was the single time when she ‘almost’ lived up to her promise. I have never found Jesus Christ Superstar to be my cup of tea, so I don’t care for it as much as the judges, but I did think it was good. I thought that might save her, but Jason and Brooke’s fan club (or whatever) were too powerful to overcome.
One of those two should have gone last week when Kristy was booted after presenting a great performance. Kristy was really coming into her own, and deserved to stay longer. Girl couldn’t dress hereself if her life depended on it. Her audition look was never achieved again once, during her participation on American Idol. During her audition she was breathtakingly cute.
Sayesha: All season I have talked about Sayesha having a great voice. This week and last, she has come closer to her true potential than ever before IMO. That saved her. If she would have had a medeocre performance on Tuesday, she would have been booted. I would seriously urge this girl to get some help with song choices, clothing and hair. She is not realizing her full potential IMO.
David Archuletta: The kid has an excellent voice. His interview timidity seems to be playing well with the teeny-bopper chicks. It wears somewhat thin with me, but he has a great voice and should be in the final two IMO.
David Cook: This guy is phenominal. He’s got a rocker voice, but it’s a soft rock sound and should have a broad appeal. His songs seem to be unique, edgey and exactly what the judges seem to want. And I think they’re right to do so. I was honestly surprised by his Phantom song on Tuesday night. That was a hard song, and this kid not only pulled it out, but wow... IMO, at this point David deserves the win.
Brooke: As a person I like Brooke. As for signing... as a person I like Brooke. I had not honestly expected the Carly Simon genre to prevail here. Every one of her songs sound alike to me. Her voice is nice. She looks nice. She is nice. Voting for her because she is nice, isn’t. It was unforgivable to keep her and send someone else home after her forgetting her words. This is the second time she has had to start a song over. Contestants were sent home in the first round for forgetting their lyrics. So instead of Brooke going home, someone who remembered their words and put in a great performance did. Brooke just went to zero points in my book.
Jason: Sanjaya lives. I’ve been saying it for about six weeks now. This guy has no depth to his voice whatsoever. He is capable of spitting out the lyrics from a place never lower than his voice box. The others belt it out from their stomachs. The sad thing here is that the judges continue to give this pretender a pass. Look, top 100 perhaps... tip five, are these judges fricken kidding me? If Jason were competing with the 20-40 spot positions from last year, I think he wins that contest. The field was so strong this year, he should never have been part of the top twelve. They pulled him in for the look and the variety. Then the teeny-boppers signed on and the rest was history. Tell me Jason is better than Michael Johns. Tell me he is better than Kristie Cook. Tell me he’s better than Carly. Hell no. I don’t even think he’s better than the Asian girl they sent home three weeks ago. Jason has got to go. I say this, because if he doesn’t, better talent will have to. If American Idol wants to be outed for being a complete waste of time, where cute beats talent, then they judges should praise Jason each week, and watch the prestige of the show wind up in the toilet. Otherwise they better get with the program and start addressing this kid for the lack of tallent that he is. Otherwise he’s going to the top three, outlasting no less than six contestants who had more tallent.
“The drama queen blonde, Brooke White, skated for some reason.”
She has skated for weeks and her skates are as rusty as her talent. She needed to be gone a long time ago, I can not imagine how Michael Johns could be sitting at home watching and this amateur is still singing.
You think singing a song that questions Christian doctrine played a role in her being voted off. There were two much worse performances.
I think Sayesha always looks great. She is not the most popular with the voters because she doesn't show much personality. She is very good, but she is no competition for David and David.
No.
Maybe. I kind of thought her whole-arm tattoo and her fully tattooed and pierced husband might have been a turn-off. Also, Rockers haven't done well on AI, whether male or female. There were several immigrants this time around, all of whom are now gone.
Michael Johns’ elimination was a shocker. Looks like all the immigrants are gone. I wonder if there’s meaning in that.

Traveled from our Idol Haunt along your ping path..thanks
I disagree on her looks (clothing wise), agree on her personality and competitive realtionship to the two Davids.
Two out of three isn’t all that bad. ;-)
Thanks for the comments.
Michael Johns was at the White House Correspondents Dinner last Saturday night. I wondered who all the peanut gallery were screaming at near the entrance to the ballroom, -— it was MJ, looking great in a tux!

No. Weird that you would bring it up (nobody knows it is anti-christian). I never heard that before at least and I am a Christian my whole life. Who told you that? It is not all about religion. I think over the weeks people just got sick of her. That tatoo did her no favors.
Don't you understand what the play is about? It is the story of Jesus told through the eyes of Judas. Judas is made the heroic figure and Jesus is just a normal guy who stumbles into to becoming the Christ. Jesus is not God according to Superstar. Jesus sins and is just happens to be in the right place and the right time. The story of Superstar makes that movie that caused all the uproar seem tame in comparison.
