eMail from Sen. John Cornyn (anyone interested in responding to Sen. Reid's action)

Friend,

This morning Harry Reid is stalling critical legislation that would enhance a range of benefits for our nation's Veterans. Because of another closed-door deal Sen. Reid made with his party, he has put politics before the care needed for America’s heroes. He made a promise to Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama so they could continue their campaigns which were described this morning as “even meaner, more vacuous, more desperate, and more filled with pandering...” according to The New York Times.

Voters are getting tired of it. I need your help to send a message to Sen. Harry Reid – “Don’t play politics with Veterans.”

Will you click here to send that message and tell Senators Obama, Clinton and Reid this partisanship is demeaning the legislative process?

Veterans should not fall victim to the political ambition of a party that has long played politics with Veteran benefits.

Sincerely,

John Cornyn
U. S. Senator from Texas

I'd like to send a message to Scarecrow, but I'd have to deliver it myself: it would also involve lighting the bag, ringing his doorbell, and hiding in the bushes to watch.
