Personal

Posted on 04/22/2008 7:29:47 AM PDT by mzimmpa

Question for locals in NC: Where might I find a good list of local conservative politicains to vote for in the primary 16 May ? I know there are several Republican primary duels and we want to choose the most conservative.

Thanks !

Hello once again to fellow Freepers ! After serving a mobilization to Active Duty for almost the last 2 years, my family and I have moved to Raleigh, NC. Question for locals in NC: Where might I find a good list of local conservative politicains to vote ofr in the primary 16 May ? I know there are several Republican primary duels and we want to choose the most conservative.

I’m sorry mzimmpa, but North Carolina has been “invaded”, and is currently occupied by transplant yanks. Most of which, unfortunatly, are LIBERALS. They bring the same LIBERAL train of thought with them that turned their former homes into overtaxed septictanks. The demonrats, er, uh democrats of NC have not caught on just yet , that their old party has CHANGED over the years. There are NO current TRUE conservatives on any ballot to my knowledge. Thus, I bid you good luck my friend in finding any candidate rising above the moniker: RINO ! Especially in Raleigh.
THANK-YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE !!
Regards,
Snooter ;o)

“call the NC GOP office in Raleigh”

That would be a waste of time. The NC GOP can’t pour piss out of a boot with hole in the heel....and they know even less about conservatism.

FWIW - http://www2.journalnow.com/content/2008/apr/21/experience-leads-candidate-debate/ has a profile of the Republican gubernatorial candidates. I have been leaning to Fred Smith as the most conservative.

Thanks for the reply. I am a transplant from PA, but from the good ol’ Ultra-conservative Dutch country. Am a bit disappointed by the lack of a visibly apparent conservative movement. Raleigh is a great town, but defintily with plenty of tree-huggers and liberals. Just have to work hard to CONVERT them !

Gitter done ! HA!

Pick up a copy of the local “progressive” paper, The Independent, and then vote for the opposite of whomever they endorse.
