Science, YES SCIENCE, get the difference, validates :intelligent Design”.

Finally, someone who will provide scientific evidence for ID. Please let me see it so I can go to bed.

Science has been demonstrated to be an extraordinary way to establish truth. Faith may be another way, but faith isn’t science and ID ain’t science because it is based on faith.

Evolution in the bible, says VaticanBy Martin Penner

THE Vatican has issued a stout defence of Charles Darwin, voicing strong criticism of Christian fundamentalists who reject his theory of evolution and interpret the biblical account of creation literally.

Cardinal Paul Poupard, head of the Pontifical Council for Culture, said the Genesis description of how God created the universe and Darwin’s theory of evolution were “perfectly compatible” if the Bible were read correctly.
His statement was a clear attack on creationist campaigners in the US, who see evolution and the Genesis account as mutually exclusive.

“The fundamentalists want to give a scientific meaning to words that had no scientific aim,” he said at a Vatican press conference. He said the real message in Genesis was that “the universe didn’t make itself and had a creator”.

This idea was part of theology, Cardinal Poupard emphasised, while the precise details of how creation and the development of the species came about belonged to a different realm - science. Cardinal Poupard said that it was important for Catholic believers to know how science saw things so as to “understand things better”.

His statements were interpreted in Italy as a rejection of the “intelligent design” view, which says the universe is so complex that some higher being must have designed every detail.

No need to thank me, this is the internet where free speech is valued, unlike science, academia or Darwinism.

Well, all of the Darwinists in the movie were for firing anyone who dared to speak of Intellegent Design. One of the fired scientists said, anyone who is investigating that there is some Intellegence in evolution they should keep it to themselves. The ending was ironic.

You must be for that since you want to muzzle everyone who doesn’t believe in evolution.

You also asked the question on another thread:
Why did God make your son autistic?

Science will never be able to answer that question, will it?

Nor why my baby died, and yours lived, science can’t answer that either, can it.

So, I ask AGAIN: Do you have a problem believing there is a God?

I’m trying to understand what is wrong with Stein’s statements.

ID isn’t science. It’s faith. Faith is religion. Ben Stein is exactly right. It’s similar to calling liberals, “progressives.” They are still liberals.

Present both positions. Let God sort em out.

Although it’s important to note that the film does not specifically advocate biblical creation nor discuss our Designer, what it does do is offer overwhelming evidence that Darwinism is dogma masquerading as science, and that suppression of academic freedom is what is keeping Darwinism in place.

Who do you serve? God or Science?

Science is not an altar to worship at. Science can not tell you why you are here,

or what is moral,

or why life without meaning kills ones heart, does it?

Science is dead for finding meaning. It is barren and cold.

Just remember Mr.Dawkins, when asked how life began, said he had not a clue. Then, when pressed by Ben, he said ID might be possible, but only as panspermia....Option 1 - I do not know. Option 2 - maybe some aliens ‘inoculated’ the planet earth. That was his best shot. And their exclusionary rule of keeping out scientist who have a world view of Christianity or Judaism is to be eternally refuse to allow the devine nose under the atheists secularist tent. Dawkins and the other atheists did not acquit themselves very well.

Those that believe in evolution are atheists, whether they like that label or not. They REJECT Intelligent Design.

So then you consider all Catholics to not be Christian? What is your theological background to make such a pronouncement? Where did you get your theological degree?

I accept ID and evolution, and see them as consistent. And I see neither as being at odds with the Bible. I guess that means I'm an atheist according to you... I can only imagine your surprise when we're worshiping together in Heaven!

If you're willing to look at it logically or rationally - common sense - ID is about how it all started and who started it; evolution is about how it progressed. The two are fundamentally about different questions.

Bigots like you who presume to judge entire denominations - and a denomination that DIRECTLY traces an unbroken history back to St. Peter - as not Christian is about as far from a Christian viewpoint as you can have.

So since you consider Catholics not Christian, what's your take on Russian or Greek Orthodox adherents? After all, they have a different Bible, so they must be heretics and wrong too?

Soliton, if you haven’t seen the movie, you really have no grounds for this continuing jihad against it. You’d have a much better argument if you’d actually seen the thing you’re arguing so vociferously about!

I will ask you a question that I have yet to have answered. That question is - what is the evidence for ID?

Have you actually seen the movie?

Excellent description of the film.

Anyone who cares about this subject should see this film.

I dare the evolution advocates to do so and to report here their approval of what has been going on in academia and in the scientific “community” when it comes to the total Nazi tactics being used against scientists - yes SCIENTISTS - and against PROFESSORS and TEACHERS who DARE to question evolution as continuing to be a justifiable explanation of the evidence or who even slightly mention “intelligent design” in either their writings or their verbalizations or their research conclusions.

Come on, evolutionists, see the movie and come here and defend what has been going on.

"Evolutionists are athiests"

According to Stein/Expelled, they are also Nazis.

Stein and the fundamentalists need to take a Dale Carnegie course on how to win friends and influence people.

Science is dead for finding meaning. It is barren and cold.

We are commanded in the Bible to use science!

Genesis 1:28 - we are given dominion over the Earth. Psalms 8:6 - the Psalmist praises God for giving us that dominion.

The best way to exercise dominion - control - over the Earth is to learn the laws of nature, and how the Earth behaves. That requires us to use science to further develop technology to extend the dominion we are commanded to exercise.

Science is, ultimately, a Biblical process. It allows us to act on a commandment from God. And by learning more about nature and His creation, we can can learn more about the nature of God.

Science is not a guide to morals, right from wrong.

In general, God expects us to love Him with all our minds, hearts and soul.

Science is a lousy guide to how to live one’s life. Believe me, I grew up atheist. Atheism kills.

I thought you might find my post to you of interest because one of the tenants of evolution is random mutation. If mutation do not occur randomly then this is problematic for the theory of evolution.
