This movie is built upon the dubious and incorrect premise that the truth of Science is opposition to God...

I saw the movie today, and did not leave with that impression. The movie is built upon the dubious fact that the Scientific World is controlled by people that do not accept and will not consider the possibility that ID occurred. The movie demonstrates the intolerance of those in the scientific community that even consider ID as a possibility, even if their scientific work is not affected by whatever personal beliefs they hold. I left the movie with an understanding of how intolerant and vindictive those that control the money in the scientific community are.

Metaphorically, the movie is this: Someone presented a theory that the Chicken came first. Those that even consider the possibility of the egg coming first are ostracized, fired, demeaned and attacked by those ascribing to the paradigmatized theory. Basically, those ascribing to the paradigm display as much tolerance as todays run of the mill liberal.

From all the shut ups and name calling on this topic, I can see that this is not limited to the arena of science. Before anyone attacks me, I have not indicated my personal opinion on this matter, so do not attack me for what you 'think' my ID position is.

...but we aren’t allowed to ask “what, who, or whence that entity is”?

Is that what I said?

Far from it.

You wanna find out what I think, we can meet on a chat service, and if you will actually read and consider my answers, you may learn something new.

In any case, I will have it understood that I don't play on a field where my touchdowns don't count by definition. Besides, posting on FR is really just a sort of entertainment.

Personally, I think lying for Jesus is a sin.

Can you offer any scientific evidence for ID?

All I want is science. You claim ID is science. Please, please offer some scientific evidence FOR ID.

But being lied about is not. As I understand, it’s expected.

I should have also mentioned that there were only two other people in the large theater I saw the film in; and that I was assaulted by about 15 minutes of save-the-planet (from global warming) commercials before the movie actually began.

“They just attack natural selection.”

Natural selection is not the issue. I haven’t heard anyone make substantive arguments about NS. There are many observed examples of NS.

The issue is whether or not NS could eventually cause new species to develop. There are no observations of new creatures evolving during NS, notwithstanding the gyrations the evolutionists have gone to in order to make some scenarios fit.

It's a nasty habit. I will break it right after I quit beer and Doritos

“They explain how it may possibly have happened.”

Hey, that’s all it takes for the evolutionists to declare victory. Just the ‘possibility’ is all they care about.

Didn’t Darwin find God at the end of his life?

There exist many more examples of an old earth but that doesn’t stop a large subset of creationists for insisting that all that data is wrong.

I suppose we all find God at the end of life, but if you mean a death bed conversion, no. That was a lie. He was agnostic over the death of his small child.
