UPDATE: Friday April 18
The "Sixteen year old girl." A hoax???
I am SPITTING mad. Texas authorities better have those children back in their mothers arms by tonight.
"A 33-year-old Colorado Springs woman has been questioned about a telephone call that sparked a raid at the polygamist Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints compound in western Texas two weeks ago.
Rozita Swinton was arrested at her home Wednesday night by Colorado Springs police for an incident that occurred in February. Members of the Texas Rangers were also in Colorado Springs as part of their investigation.
"The Texas Rangers were in Colorado Springs (Wednesday) as part of their investigation involving the compound in Texas. They left and have not filed any charges on Rozita Swinton as of this time," said Colorado Springs police spokesman Lt. Skip Arms.
Colorado Springs police said the arrest warrant has been sealed and refused to release any other details, reported Deseret News."

When was due process NOT followed in this case? I keep asking and asking that, getting no answer.
A search warrant was issued to identify the 16 year old girl who is now being acknowledged as non-existent. That got turned around into a blanket search-and-seizure of the entire property, not just the residence of Dale Barlow (which is also a sticking point as that residence and Mr. Barlow are in Arizona and not Texas).
So you have a search warrant for a girl who does not exist and for a man who does not live in Texas and who has Arizona law enforcement vouching that he has not been to Texas in the cited period because they've been keeping tabs on his themselves.
At some point this process should have been stopped and cooler heads should have stepped in to say that since the original warrant was spurious that everything else needed to come to a halt.
But no. Bias against the FLDS trumped their Constitutional rights.
Now, I am no fan of these people so kindly don't accuse me of that. It's tiresome.
But when this all works its way through the courts it'll all be thrown out and the FLDS will not only be several tens of millions of dollars richer they'll also then be able to practice their abuses with much more freedom than ever before because the Texas authorities will be afraid to raid them again.
The sixteen yo girl named Sarah or Sara was said by four or five of those underage girls now in CPS custody to live at the ranch. She hadn't been seen since the previous Sunday--was no longer at the ranch. If you have some proof that she was "acknowledged as non-existent" please present that, since such acknowledgement ought to have made the media.
It was not "turned into a blanket search-and-seizure" at all. Instead, underage girls were observed to be pregnant, LEOs went back and got an additional warrant and served it in a followup visit.
Again, where was proper procedure not followed? How was what I described NOT proper procedure?
Since proper procedure was followed, and court ordered DNA testing is now taking place, I doubt that anything will be thrown out. Your concern seems a bit out of place.
Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

“I’m guessing Jenny is a Mormon who sympathizes with the FLDS, they are after all living most like the first prophets of the current LDS church.
I’m seriously getting tired of this kind of abject bigotry coming from too many FReepers. Just because someone takes issue with the Constitutionality of what is going on here does not mean that they are Mormons of any stripe. And the repeated ignorant comments that anyone defending the FLDS is a mainstream LDS deny the fact that mainstream LDS would just as soon see the FLDS eradicated.”
I am a mormon and no I don’t want to see the FLDS eradicated. I am completely open to anyone choosing to live the religion that feels perfectly right for them.
What I have serious issues with is an all powerful government raiding peoples homes and kidnapping children and putting them in supposedly “safe” foster care where they will be potentially molested, vaccinated, and drugged with psychoative drugs, all while being “reprogrammed” and “sensitivity trained” away from the religion of their parents.
Either we American Parents have the right to teach our own children our faith, values, and lifestyle, or we don’t.
I err on the side of complete parental freedom.
I understand that some parents will make bad choices and children will be hurt, but last time I checked we still had the freedom to fail as individuals in america. If the freedom to fail is lost, then we have no freedom and are simply slaves to an all powerful government.

You evidently didn't read my post. I believe that I mentioned that some of the girls in CPS custody knew a "Sarah" or "Sara" who lived at the compound, who had a child, and who hadn't been seen since the Sunday before they were taken in to custody.
So you might want to dial down your fervor over an "attention whore," as you call her, who, by the way, hasn't been convicted of anything. I'm sure you want to wait for the evidence, right?
There are several Sarahs at the ranch, agreed. None of them have broken ribs as per the caller, and none of them are married in any way shape or form to Mr. Barlow - something that even Texas authorities now acknowledge.
As to the evidence against Ms. Swinton (an Obama superdelegate - FYI) I agree that she, too, is entitled to due process. But once she is arrested then the case at YFZ Ranch falls to pieces, doesn’t it?
The Sara or Sarah with the 2 wk old baby hadn’t been seen since the Sunday before the 2nd raid.
Just because Ms Swinton has been arrested does not mean the case falls apart. As it says on PAGE ONE of this thread, she was questioned by the Texas authorities but they didn’t file any charges.
How does the case fall apart? As has been posted many times by others, and also by me, the children were removed from the ranch due to a second search warrant, which contained affadavits of what was seen by investigators when they served the first search warrant. NOT because of what was alleged in the phone calls.
Please, I beseech you, and all others who are reading this, please read the links, please read the original articles, and please read the threads.
All the information I’ve given you in this and previous posts is either on this thread, or one of the others, many many times. I’m not being arrogant, I’m just wondering why people jump in and repeat the same old thing time after time, to the point where it sounds like they are reading off the same talking points sheet of paper.
*sheesh*
The fact that somebody says the calls were bogus and this lady made them doesn’t mean it’s true. I’m willing to wait for the answers, aren’t you?
And where was your patience when the subject was waiting for answers at the cult ranch? Shouldn't the Texas authorities had a little more to go on than a second hand and unconfirmed report by one person before they went in to upset the lives of several hundred people?
Seriously, since the allege point of all of this was to rescue this one girl then shouldn't they have done a little due dilligence to determine the girls whereabouts before they went in?
Because let's say the girl is real. This raid endangered her life if she was not at the ranch when the raid occured. The raid and all of the media coverage would tip off whoever that the girl needed to disappear. So shouldn't her security have been a paramount concern and priority for this whole operation?
And since there hasn't seemed to have been a great deal of concern about this girl from the start on the part of the Texas authorities people like myself and Michael Savage have had cause to be concerned what the actual goal of the raid really was.
See, they say the raid was about this girl, but once the raid was over they didn't seem too concerned at all about her.
It just smells bad.
My patience has nothing to do with it.
Child protective agencies, and nurses, and doctors, and teachers, and ministers, and so on are all MANDATED BY LAW to report information that might involve danger to a minor. Law enforcement and CPA have 48 hours MAX to investigate.
This is not about me or you. This is about the law. Please read over our exchange again.
This notion that say, a pastor or a priest could "assign" a 13, 14, or 15 yo girl to marry a 40 or 50 yo man who already has a wife & multiple other sexual partners strikes me as what the media would clearly call it other circumstances: Spiritual and sexual abuse, seductive pedophilia, and abuse of authority.
And your defense of all these things tells us precisely where you stand...and that your neighbors should be a lil' more protective of their 13 yo daughters.
I’m still waiting to see if Ms. Swinton is also the Obama delegate of the same name from the same place.
Except for massive welfare fraud - which is both a state and a Federal crime.
Oh, and lying to a Police Officer is a crime in Texas. When asked what they were doing on the property with all the construction equipment, the FLDS told the Sherrif they were building a "hunting preserve."
I haven't seen anything new on that.
CC anything new on the claim that Swinton is LDS?
Many modern mormons feel tremendous shame about polygamy. I dont. I think the lifestyle is a tremendous help to young mothers. From the various journals I have read, and the understanding that comes from scripture, poligamy is simply about taking care of mothers and children.
This is incorrect.
Polygamy is simply sinful men who like to indulge their lust by inserting their male members into lots of women and girls for their own warped sexual satisfaction.
These are men who violate Christ's teaching to the letter, and you are trying to morph them into Mother Theresa.
"You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
Jesus Christ
Matthew 5: 27-28
Christ died for our sins. When we attempt to minimize them, as you did - we mock His sacrifice.
Please don't do that.
The latest post said this:
Last week it was reported that a woman made the phone call to police about FLDS. She was black and a mormon. It was all over the news that morning. After Friday nothing since. Who shut up this news event? The Church? Anyone know? I asked my wife if they talked about it all at Church and she said no. Very funny how people came from Texas to charge her and then nothing.
