Cute.
I do not care for JM but the agism is disgusting.
As another poster commented on another post like this, just the fact that the left has begun to focus on such a trivial arguing point is indicative of what sort of trouble the ol’ S.S. Treason (the left) is in with its two unelectable candidates.
What? in DOG years or human years?
It is called the Grand Old Party for a good reason.
John McCain is the best the GOP could find. The GOP stands for Grand Old Party.
Ronald Reagan may have put the C in Conservative, but John McCain will put the O in Grand Old Party.
[If Obama is the nominee]
The Grand Old Party has nominated a candidate from the past; the Democratic Party has nominated a candidate who looks to the future.
The O in Obama stands for Optimism. The O in GOP stands for Grand Old Party.
A caller to el Rushbo’s show yesterday suggested that we give McKain to the Democrats, and that we Pubbies choose a new candidate.
Awesome idea grasshopper! I’m in! But how we gonna go about getting this done?
McCain’s age only matters against Obama. There’s no way America will vote for an angry bitch over an angry son-of-a-bitch. ;)
You're assuming that if elected, McWhacked would not run for re-election in 2012. Little power-mad Johnnie would run for re-election as long as his body has not assumed room temperature. Nothing else will keep him from running.
I think attacking him on age is risky and foolish. But maybe that means the Left will focus on it.
He can run all he wants. But just because you are an incumbent, doesn’t mean you are crowned the next nominee.
The Incumbent Prez is the head of the party. If he wants the nomination, he will get it, unless he has become quite obviously senile or has terminal cancer.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winston_Churchill
Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill, KG, OM, CH, TD, FRS, PC, PC (Can) (30 November 1874 24 January 1965) was a British politician known chiefly for his leadership of Great Britain during World War II. He served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and again from 1951 to 1955. A noted statesman and orator, Churchill was also known as an officer in the British Army, a historical writer, and an artist.

He was in power from age 66 to 71 and again from age 77 to 81. As we know, Winnie loved fine whiskey and good cigars.
Let’s hear it for wisdom and experience. Rah, Rah.
Seems like that’s where the Dems have decided to concentrate their attack...his age. I guess they haven’t realized that probably one of the larger demographics of consistent voters are older people. They’re not like college kids who get all enthused about a campaign and then not show up at the polls. My prediction, they’ll drop the age criticism pretty darn quick when they realize it will work against them in the GE. (it might work for them with the far left loonies, but not with the general population.)
I heard a fascinating statistic this morning that said in the vast majority of marriages in the US, one spouse would live to be at least 85...so there’s a lot of older voters who will be turned off by making a big deal of John’s age.
You answered your own question. :->
Age and treachery will always oversome youth and...aw nevermind!
Of course - a case in point that should not be made is Ol’ Jimmah Carter (age 84) wandering around the earth making a damn fool of himself.
At the time of McCain’s birth, the bestselling record in the country was “Until the Real Thing Comes Along” (Decca Records #809) by Andy Kirk and His Clouds of Joy. This typical mid-30’s “sweet” tune was Andy’s theme song as well as his biggest hit.
