Stopped at the local Walgreens the other day and saw a Prious with a radar detector. And we don't have that many hills around here!! LMAO

The Prius top speed is 102 MPH, give or take a mph.

That speed is based on the max RPM of the electric motor which is mechanically linked with the drive shaft. The motor max RPM is controlled by the computer.

If you increased the tire size, you could go a little faster :-)

But 100mph is plenty fast enough to get thrown in jail for reckless driving.

I’m betting that, in an acceleration test from 40mph to 80mph, I could beat about half the people who make fun of the Prius.

It’s no sportscar, but it isn’t a chevette either.

You can get ticketed for going 35 in a 25. I believe Prius can easily make it to 35.

Well, when you think about it, rounds fired from an electric gun barrel have a far greater velocity than those propelled by “internal combustion” cartidges.
