-snip-

I don’t think anything will ever top David Cook’s performance of “Billie Jean” but his take on “Always Be My Baby” was pretty special. It was an emotional performance for David whose brother, who is suffering from brain cancer, was in the audience tonight.

thanks for hijacking the thread with your dribble. No class, no manners and you are not funny, just an obvious jerk. Keep watching those reality shows about people with weigh problems while eating your junk food. I already have a creepy picture of you.

ooooohhhhhhh, SNAP!

First of all, the thread was posted in the News section, therefore, I assumed as a member of FR, I was allowed to comment. Second, I did not see an “Only American Idol Obsessive-Compulsive Fanatics Allowed to Post” alert after the title.
Third, sitting around fantasizing about how other posters look is what’s creepy.
Fourth, get a sense of humor, my friend. Then maybe a life will follow.

You have made quite a reputation for yourself, pal. And you are not my friend.

No class, no manners and you are not funny, just an obvious jerk...

It certainly was funny and ironic. Imagine someone sitting at their computer seeing a thread about American Idol and feeling compelled to brag that the show they watched was better (like it really matters. after all, they are just tv shows) then claim that others have a problem. Or imagine if the thread were a pub, a place for like minded folk to discuss their favorite topic. Suddenly an outsider strolls in, looks about, mouth and eyes scrunched up to illustrate distaste, points their crooked finger high into the air, and pishes aloud something to the effect of "my hang out is better! your hang out sucks! so there! nyah!" Some of the pub regulars might take offense. Others might look at the outsider and think who gives a flying fig. No matter, the outsider has stood firm and all is right with the world. That's just funny stuff.

It was first posted under the News/Activism section, because I never go to the Bloggers/Personal part. That is the only way I would have seen it. Do you not know how to post a new thread?

“You have made quite a reputation for yourself, pal. And you are not my friend.”

How do you know I am not your friend? I could be your best friend and you would never know. I could be your next door neighbor. I could be your high school crush or your third grade teacher. I could be your mailman or the little old lady that works the check out line at the local supermarket.

I wouldn’t worry about my reputation, pal. You need to worry about your sanity.

Imagine people taking themselves so seriously that they can actually acquaint reality with a “reality show.” And when their fantasies are parodied, they wet themselves and fall apart.

How needy.

How old do you want me to be? We are dealing with fantasy, aren’t we?

Everyone has something they need. Some people get really involved in watching reality tv. It’s their form of entertainment. You find entertainment at belittling those people and their show. And I find your actions amusing. You’re cracking me up. Thanks! : )

I’m a new”ish” idol watcher, and while I agree with your assessment of the judges, I enjoy hearing the music and rooting for my favorites. Maybe there is a market for new viewers. What do I know, I’m probably out of their demographic, but it’s a show I tivo’d for the first time this season.
