You forgot the "satire" keyword - around here, experience has proven that it isn't obvious to most posters.

Following a brief and yet cordial embrace between the two men Hamas issued a press statement describing the meeting. It was our pleasure to exchange mutual embraces of goodwill between ourselves and President Jimmy Carter. As most people around the world now know President Carter was the man truly elected in Florida"
Wait a minute, there.
Is it possible that Hamas has somehow confused Jimmy Carter with Al Gore?
(I know that Al Gore lost in Florida, but many groups such as Hamas think that Gore was "truly elected" in Florida.)
FYI -- Carter did win Florida in 1976 (51% to 49%), but he lost Florida in 1980 to Ronald Reagan.

As most people around the world now know President Carter was the man truly elected in Florida, and unlike the criminal Bush, who has killed so many Palestinians and Iraqis, President Carter is the man who best represents the will of the American people.
I guess I slept through that part of history.
