Seeing how I live in China and one of the main things I can do to kill the boredom is watch movies I have started a movie review section. However, this is China so the movies I buy are all pirated. Do I feel like a thief, hmm No not really. Do I feel a little guilty at all. NOPE not one bit. To tell the truth I enjoy the 5 rmb(75 cent) move purchase. So on to the first review.

He actually wrote this in an attempt to insinuate that we are ignorant bible thumpers. The author of this trash readily admits his goal is the destruction of all religion. Regardless of that the people I have talked to that actually saw it said it was simply a bad movie. It's performance at the box office certainly substantiates that.
Yes I realize that is what the book is about. I was not reviewing the book. I am a fantasy fan and I am reviewing this on the merits of a pirated dvd in China. So as far as the pirated dvds in China are concerned. This movie was not bad. At least they where not speaking Russian with English subtitles from a different movie. In China, this means block buster to me. I watched a movie last week that kept going back and forth from Russian, Chinese and English. The subtitles seemed to be written by a 3 year old and it was recorded with a video camera. The guy in front kept standing up and blocking the screen. So for what it is it gets 4 dumplings.
Just as an aside, I love that Hollywood makes almost nothing but movies and TV shows which attack capitalism, yet they are outraged when their products are stolen without compensation.
What on earth do they think that their Che Guevara posters stand for, anyway?
Just like the music stars like U2 who bitch and moan about rich capitalist in 200 dollar a seat auditoriums after making a 2 million Pepsi commercial. Remember when you where in school. The long haired guitar guy wasn’t always the smartest one in class. My next favorite is the title “Sell out” for groups that make lots of money just popping out songs with very little meaning. I know some people got into music for the art but most guys I knew in school learned the electric guitar for girls and money. So they didn’t actually sell out. they did exactly what they said they would always do.
The little girl was adorable.
The closest I get to China is the Fast Food joint down the street. Got to have my weekly meal from them.

PS - Did go see the Golden Compass on the big screen. Think both sides hyped it a little much. Good popcorn cruncher but that was about it.
What?...you can’t get access to Mininova or EZTV over there?
Torrents are where its at for viewing sanity.
I can get to them but to download a movie from a torrent takes like 3 days.
