Strange how things work out. I had to cancel out of attending the MRC Gala in DC. However, had I booked the flight I originally intended, I would have ended up sitting in an airport going NOWHERE. American Airlines. Meanwhile some really good things have been happening to me during the last couple of days which wouldn't have happened had I been stuck WAITING for that flight which wouldn't have materialized. Good things including a glitch which gave me a thousand extra entries into a casino sweepstakes contest where almost everybody else has 5 entries or less. Winners for the thousand buck cash prizes are announced tonight at the top of each hour. 6 winners total then same contest (and my extra entries) will be repeated on 2 more Thursdays. Oh, and just a couple of days ago I started making some really good bucks from a product selling like hotcakes on eBay. I would have missed out on that if I were now sitting in an airport waiting.

Lets see.... The average person has about 4 entries. Casino will have about 500 people in it. 4 times 500 entries. That means a total of about 2000 entries versus my 1004 entries. 6 drawings tonight. Do the math. Or am I counting my chickens before they hatch?

After we assign blame and punish the criminals responsible for Iraq, the Vietnam War, countless US atrocities in South and Central America etc., we can discuss wrongdoing by the Chinese government, which pales in comparison. Heck we ain't done that since the Fire Bombing of Dresden and Tokyo (but at least those countries were our real enemies at the time).

Olympics is not the same what it use to be.

Here I agree. At least the TV coverage is not what it used to be. (I refer to the over-the-air coverage, since we don't get cable.) I can't watch it. The focus is less on the sports and more on the fluffy features. The coverage now is geared toward female viewers, and it bores me. I used to enjoy watching the Olympics back in the '60s and '70s, but not lately.
