I don't know who the dolt is that wrote this but bringing up the example of the lesbian kids shows that the CPS in Texas did the right thing in being proactive.

I suspect one reason that they took all the kids is because they didn't want to chance having another Waco like disaster.

Better to remove the children and get the info they need that way instead of going back to the ranch all the time.

“Conservative” families will be scrutinized, and their children taken on a pretext,

but victim groups, ie, “liberal mascot” families, will be protected from having their future welfare recipient children taken from them.

This is typical of leftists.

so, playing the devils advocate, I suppose it’s ok with you if ANY child is taken away on an “anonymous tip”, even though they can’t find the tipster..this type of action isn’t limited to “cults”, it can happen to you too..if you have kids, this should scare the he*l out of you..

Hey, if they remove the kids first

THEN

they can burn the adults alive with little to no outrage.

Each case is different. The Texas authorities have a strong suspicion as to what goes on down there. Its not like they just got one tip out of the blue and thats all they have. They were just waiting for a reason to go in. I sure don't blame them.

Most of these kids are with their mothers. That is a good thing. News reports stated that most of the mothers chose to go.

Could not the protective services people have done any sort of investigation before taking the Amish-like children and women from the Temple?

That’s the purpose of the Temp Custody detainment which last for 14 days and they have to be returned or another court order obtained.

As far as Waco and this situation there are miles apart. The Waco event was a Federal Gov’t event and this Eldorado event is a State of Texas action...... Two different senarios entirely. The CPS may have been in Waco but weren’t the lead.......

These fringe-Mormon polygamists made a severe mistake in migrating to Texas. Their activities may be tolerated in the isolated reaches of Utah and the surrounding states, but not in the Lone Star State, which has a home grown mix of evangelicals hostile to Mormonism of any stripe and a typically liberal social services bureaucracy. The polygamists were a major and likely unwelcome presence in the rural county where they are located.

But, how did one anonymous voice message from one girl at the Yearning For Zion Ranch instigate Texas Child Protective Services to confiscate 400 children without an investigation?

I don’t know but thank God the State of Texas is taking care of these kids from those sick freaks. It is disgusting and revoting to know folks like this exist.

Yes, polygamy is illegal,as is pedophilia, and old men marrying too-young girls in Eldorado, Texas.

But

NEVER a wise notion to attempt following any sentence of that sort with the word "But," in all honesty.

"Better to remove the children and get the info they need that way instead of going back to the ranch all the time."

Wow, me thinks you have made a wrong turn and ended up at the wrong site.

An anonymous tip is all that is needed to have 400 children confiscated by the government?

Sorry but I need a bit more due diligence by the government than them claiming an anonymous tipster.

Investigate yes!

Confiscate then investigate? No.

I mean we do still have a Constitution ya know. Mad Dawgg

I saw an interview with one of the volunteer ladies helping with the children, etc and she said that the little ones didn’t even know what crayons were or what they were used for. The children under say four years old basically haven’t seen the world outside the fence of that compound in which they were born.

That is very sad and that really is what is sad about these type of “cults”. They control anything and everything in their family and then make it so all they can do is stay in that life style. It is very sad, but perhaps it won’t be too late for those 400 chidren to be raised normal in a new real family.

No, these fools knew the government was going to come after them, and this was planned for a long time, whatever the pretext. It took a good while to get all these people there and ready.

I’m not sure what the outcome of this will be. I suspect that the children for the most part will be returned to their mothers, etc but the state will retain some oversight as to the how the children are cared for. That is just a guess on my part and I really have no insight into what the CPS is thinking.

"Compound". It's the magic word. Say it and 400 children can be taken by the state and incarcerated. My first thought, literally, on hearing this story in the nightly propoganda broadcast was, at least they didn't gas and burn 'em. When you've only got one allegation of abuse, even if it is 100% true, I guess the sob story that little crumb crunchers don't even know what crayons were or what they were used for is as good a pretext as any other. Maybe they don't know who Ernie & Bert, or Grover or Cookie Monster are either. Have the State take 400 of them.

My son said to me last night, instead of "compound", why don't they say, "gated community", or "village"?

Cordially,

Because it’s not a quaint little village. More like a prison for woman and children. Do some research.

Looks like you've already got parental rights and custody permanently terminated, and 400 children adopted out. That sure was fast. Who even needs a judicial hearing?

Call it what suits your fancy..... But whether it's a gated community, compound, house of ill repute or prison the fact remains that children allegedly forced into sexual acts by elders bears investigating.... I suspect when it's over the children or most of them will be returned to their mothers with the state retaining some oversight. Aren't most of the mothers with them now?
