at the Salisbury National Cemetary NC
501 Statesville Blvd Salisbury NC.

My condolences and prayers on your loss. And blessings to those few left who fought for us then.

My great-uncle spent WWII flying rescue missions over the Pacific from Hawaii. He didn’t talk about what he saw until the year before he died.

On Dec. 6, 1941 his wife arrived on a liner from San Francisco to join him at Pearl Harbor. The next morning she woke up and said, “RM, they’re bombing the base.” “It’s just a training run,” he said - then looked out the window - and she didn’t see him again for three days.

They are laid to rest in Black Mountain, NC.
