Tennessee Federation for Immigration Reform and Enforcement
I got into this crucial issue of enforcing immigration laws, and deporting the tens of millions of illegal aliens from our sovereign nation, because I am a REAL immigrant and I jumped through ALL the hoops in order to come to America.
Immigrants have physical examinations for medical problems and diseases, background checks determine any past criminal activity, and applicants are screened for affiliation with groups who intend harm to the United States and the American citizens.
Because the illegal aliens are able to bypass any and all requirements to enter our country, diseases such as TB, which were once controllable are now increasing, American citizens are killed on our roads in high speed accidents by unlicensed illegal alien drivers, and murder, rapes, and other mayhem are committed by people that should not be present in our country.
Because of the lax control of our borders, terrorists come across our southern border by joining groups of Spanish speaking illegal aliens. The possibility of another catastrophe like 9/11 is quite evident.
In April, 2006, illegal aliens rioted in the streets of America and made demands in a manner that could be regarded as anarchy. Business and the normal lives of American citizens were disrupted while the eyes of the nation were on the malcontents who were here illegally. How we came to this impasse is easily explained but not easily remedied.
While the 1st Amendment to the Constitution of the United States (COTUS) gives American citizens "the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances" it does not give illegal aliens the right to gather in our sovereign streets, and riot, demanding all manner of benefits and considerations that they are not entitled to receive.
In the two years since that fateful April, illegal aliens have been coddled and protected by our government to the extreme of special laws being pushed through Congress by Senators Kennedy, McCain and Graham in order to accommodate them.
If millions of shocked and irate American citizens had not burned up the telephone lines into the Congressional switchboard, declaring their objection to the AMNESTY Bill last summer, at least 25,000,000 illegal aliens would have been dubbed American citizens overnight, and would have been entitled not only to every right that the COTUS provides, but free college tuition, and other benefits that American students and citizens may not receive themselves. Even confessed members of such dangerous gangs as the MS-13 were included in the travesty.
By the continual betrayal of the American citizens by our own government, by not enforcing current federal immigration laws, the presence of tens of millions of illegal aliens, and the horrendous problems stemming from that presence, is not under control but is ever worsening.

Sherri and I will be addressing this Sunday evening.
Are you going to the Petreaus thing in DC next week.
Sadly I cannot.
I didn’t know you were an immigrant, Nana! I think legal immigrants have even more reason to be angry about the illegal invasion than American-born people do.
The anger is about the same...
We just dont have a voice...
Deserves a repeat------nice work TN.
Amnesty Will Cost U.S. Taxpayers at Least $2.6 Trillion
Heritage Foundation | June 6, '07 | Robert Rector
S.1348 the Senate amnesty bill that was twice defeated would grant amnesty to nearly all illegal immigrants currently in the United States. Overall, the net cost to taxpayers is likely to be at least $2.6 trillion.
Illegal immigrants generally have very low education levels. 61 percent of illegal immigrant adults lack a high school diploma. Illegal immigrants have a poverty level that is roughly twice that of native-born Americans.
The Senate's bill would offer amnesty and a path to citizenship to 12 to 12.5 million illegals currently in the U.S. In addition, its lax evidentiary standards would encourage millions more to apply for amnesty fraudulently.
Because there is no numeric limit on the number of amnesties that could be granted under the bill, the actual numbers who would receive amnesty under the bill could be far higher.
Eligibility for government benefits means that the former illegal immigrant or his family members obtains the same benefits as a U.S. citizen would have. Children born within the United States to illegal immigrants, including Z visa holders, are potentially eligible for all welfare benefits from the moment of birth through the reat of their lives.
In addition, adult Z visa holders and their foreign-born children will be eligible for medical care under the Medicaid Disproportionate Share Program. Z visa holders will be given lawful Social Security numbers which makes them eligible for two refundable tax credits: The Earned Income Tax Credit and the Additional Child Tax Credit. These credits provides cash welfare assistance...
Irrespective of employment history, amnesty recipients will become eligible for 60 different federal welfare programs five years after receiving legal permanent residence. When the amnesty recipients reach retirement age, total benefits received will OUTSTRIP TAXES PAID BY ROUGHLY SEVEN TO ONE. (Excerpt) Read more at heritage.org
