Well, it looks like I won't be able to go to D.C. for the MRC Gala on April 10. Heavy mortgage payments due do my recent townhouse purchase and other expenses are keeping me down here. Perhaps I need to hit up the National Review and other magazines for article submissions again. When I attempted this a few years ago, the attitude was sort of "Who the hell are you?" However, with the greatly increased profile of the DUmmie FUnnies, I might have more leverage with those magazines. Right now I have a terrific humor article in mind about a word I really hate, "barista." This article would not only explain why I hate that pretentious word but also would include a story about a REAL barista. The real barista section of the story involves nimble hand moves mixed with obscene hand gestures as well as a colorful story about the wiseguys in the Mob. Remember, ol' PJ used to work for Mob-run beachfront motels in his teenage years.

Anyway this is a wake-up call to market myself more.
