Robert Nelson, columnist for the Omaha World Herald did a stunning job of going out of his his way to trash a lot of good people in the state of Nebraska. The OWH does not web link the opinion columns so here is the text:

Gun bill shot down in blaze of ignorance

Wow. Talk about power. The NRA now runs the Nebraska Legislature even when it’s not trying to run it. On Friday, a severely watereddown bill intended to address gun violence failed to win a majority vote in second-round debate.

This is the text of my post to the OWH Public Pulse. It will not, however, see the light of day in the OWH newspaper (excerpt)

Mr. Nelson in his April 2 column berates "a mob of angry NRA members" that are "cranks" "rowdy" "loudest" and "dumbest" for having the audacity to insert themselves as citizens in representative republic legislative considerations.

Who would not love to listen to the debate in this commission? If only these liberals viewed the despicable wastes of society that use guns to commit crimes the same way they view the guns themselves. We'd probably live in a lot safer society.
