Any papaya lovers out there? I'm one. Anyway, the big drawback to papayas are their cost. Which is why I was was real happy on Saturday when I found a store selling HUGE papayas for a buck EACH. I grabbed a couple of them and each weigh at least 5 pounds. So 10 dollars worth of papayas are now ripening on my window sill. I only wish that I bought at least 5 more.

I love papaya, got addicted when I was in Hawaii; but you can never find them ripe or get them ripened well enough here in Kentucky.

For a group that prides itself on the virtues of separation of church and state, the Democrats sure have an awful lot of messiahs/saviors this election.

I'm an Obama supporter. And I'm not a fan of Clinton at all. But if Gore comes in and takes the presidential candidacy from either one of them, I will be so PISSED, I will never vote for another Democrat again. It either has to be Obama or Clinton. They've worked for 15 grueling months and Gore's done nothing to campaign. That's so pretentious of Klein--let the white guy come in and take it from the two minorities. Paternalism at its worse!

And I'm not a fan of Clinton at all..... It either has to be Obama or Clinton.

family party yesterday, my brother, family historian, went on fondly recounting the way that Adlia (sp?) Stevenson was nominated twice without running in the primary. We agreed that we were hoping for a brokered Dem convention and would have liked to have seen a brokered GOP convention too, just for the entertainment/Democratic process value. We both think it likely that Gore will be the nominee.

I am going to check out that same store again today. Not only do I love eating papayas but I enjoy drinking it as juice. This time I’ll buy 5 more papayas if they are still available at a buck each. BIG papayas!!!
