“THE monks who disrupted the tour of overseas reporters on Thursday are not to be punished, said a top Tibetan official.
"What they said is not true. They were attempting to mislead the world's opinion," said Baema Chilain, vice chairman of the regional government at a press conference on Thursday evening in Lhasa, capital of Tibet Autonomous Region. "The facts shouldn't be distorted."” So the only distorted facts that can come out of Tibet are the distorted facts coming from the Chinese government. Notice how we are not told what the Monks actually said. Just that it was not true. We are also glad to hear that the Monks will not be punished because we know that China has a history of honesty and human rights. Good thing for those monks
