Even politicians need some care occasionally. :) My experience of state legislators is that a number of them (and this includes some Democrats) are really trying to do the right thing, but pressures political, time and otherwise often interfere. And the misguided bullheaded ones aren't always Democrats -- there's one such right-wing Republican I know as a friend.
Politicians need a LOT of care from attentive-to-issue common citizens. Especially conservatives, because the libs are already in there bigtime.
