>What about jailbirds?
They sing beautifully if you threaten to take their cigarettes away. Must be a lot of beautiful singing going on then... several years (I think) since the local jail shut down caffeine delivery.

I have been on a caffeine free regimen for a week now.
Words can not express my yearning for the holy bean.

About 6 years ago (plus or minus two or three years) I... lost my sweet tooth, lost my chocolate tooth... lost my coffee/caffeine tooth...
(Probably why my beard turned white...)
I generally down one cup of coffee each week, Sunday after Mass, an excuse to place a bill in the Donations jar.
I don't miss coffee.

"Oh my poor dear FRiend! No vices left at all?" He's still excessively modest.

"... with opportunities to visit both Gettysburg and NicknamedBob. (And to pay my respects to a friend from over 50 years ago, now interred with his wife in Arlington National Cemetery.)" The last time I was at Arlington, to visit my brother's grave, I stopped at the nearby WWII Memorial, and at the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial Wall, where my cousin's name is engraved, as is my own.
I took pictures.

Oh my poor dear FRiend! No vices left at all?
I weep for you. Oh, I still sometimes enjoy the commercially specialized waste byproduct of certain yeasts when traveling, as NnBob can confirm... but in all mine infirmities a lifetime of The Prayer of Humble Access (exactly as worded here) is a guide.
Oh. And I love salty stuff. Bad for me.

Sometimes it is hard to be honest and humble at the same time.
That would make a good friday night tag line.

I have a copy of his book, "The Ten Most Modest People in the World and How I Chose the Other Nine" Ahem. May I fruitlessly note that I was not the author of that book?
Must be some other sionnsar...

I took pictures. I am sorry to hear this. My friend (my parents' age) survived Viet Nam, as he also did Korea and WWII (during which he met his future wife, then a military nurse). It was a photo I took that resulted in his family correcting an error on the gravestone.

I'm sure that any book I would write would involve immodesty.

"BTW when is book 2 coming out?" Book 2 is written. My personal favorites are books 3 and 4.
Still, I do have to publish them, don't I?
