If he went out and bought wine, they other competitors would have to go home to their own wives :-).

We have El Pollo Loco here.

I introduced my.... er.... devotion to Bibi to the ladies at the office by posting a few photos here and there.

One of them responded by posting her own photo of...

(are you sitting down?)...

George Clooney.

And man who can cook and is willing to cook is worth his weight in gold.

Since mine does most of the cooking during the week I do the weekends.

Tonight: Anasazi Soup

Snow? Now that’s weird.

It felt like snow yesterday, but today feels okay.

I’m jealous of your potential snow.

Sounds good. Is it made with Anasazi beans and blue corn?

I cook during the week, such as it is with our being home so rarely, and he makes *good* meals on the weekends.

Oh, Zot! George Clooney. IICK!

I used to have a picture of Scott Glenn at my desk; I’d cut it out of a clothing advertisement in “Forbes,” so he was wearing a beautiful suit, too. Shortly before I left my Place of Employment, a new employee walked by, a girl just out of college, and said, “Oooh, Scott Glenn. RRRRRORWWRRR!” so I gave it to her.

Didn’t last long. A few flakes then it stopped.

Weather radar shows nothing. Fluke flakes fell.

You have snowflakes, I have goldfinches. They aren’t supposed to be here yet; I had to run out and hang a thistle feeder for them.

Yep. When you add in the butternut, zucchini and crook necked squash, chilies, tomatoes and turkey you have a very tasty meal that is good looking too.

I also add onion, garlic, thyme, oregano and bay leaf for seasonings.

I usually make it with the turkey carcass after Thanksgiving.

We’re having a little cool front here but it will soon be HOTHOTHOT.

Houston summers are awful.

Maybe a month or so. I have a hard time remembering that it’s April.

They’re late summer nesters, after the Juncos have done their thing (which they’re doing in my backyard shrubbery as we speak.)

They’re such neat little birds! I have a flock of four in the backyard, looking for food. And my resident squirrel appears to be back, the peanuts are gone from his feeder.

How pretty!

Yesterday my Sheltie was having a blast chasing after a water turkey which stayed just offshore.

Dubya was very excited about the bird going under and then resurfacing several yards down the bank!
